BRENT SUTCLIFFE

Brent Sutcliffe is a rare commodity in New Zealand. A master craftsman, internationally awarded and passionate about producing world-class jewellery, right here in New Zealand. Brent has long been schooled in the craft of goldsmithing and design. His father, Lance, established Sutcliffe Jewellery back in 1968, having been a jeweller himself since he was 14. Lance's success as a jeweller and businessman inspired Brent to do an apprenticeship upon leaving school in 1988. As an apprentice in New Zealand, Brent won many awards and was always recognised for his apprenticeship assessments.

After working in New Zealand for 12 years, Brent left for Hatton Garden, the jewellery heart of London to work alongside the famous houses such as Graff, de Beers and the London Diamond Borse. It was here that Brent came into his own, surprising the London jewellery world by taking out their top prize. This was also where Brent developed a love for antique jewellery, a speciality that added a new dimension to his designs.
